Call it therapy. Call it art. Call it her Why. Singer-songwriter Cherie Butler can't resist picking up her acoustic guitar, strumming a few chords, and singing something sweet and kinda quirky. Her original folk, Americana, and folk pop tunes have inspired smiles and laughter amongst her closest friends and family for years. Not until her own children were grown did Cherie tilt into the idea of songwriting as a career.

in 2018 Cherie recorded two singles with producer Billy Lefler in Los Angeles, California. Your Why, released in December 2018, is Cherie's autobiographical, folk pop anthem meant to inspire quiet creatives like herself to "come into the light" with their artistry. 

In 2014 Cherie worked with producer Brandon Bee and released three singles, including her heartwarming Americana style single, I Gotta Sense, The Sasquatch Song, which magically blends Pacific Northwest folklore with Cherie's wonderful sense for spreading kindness in the world.
